Investor FAQs
Straight answers to the questions prospective investors ask most often. If yours is not here, ask us directly; a partner reads every enquiry.
How are you compensated?
We are a fee-only fiduciary. Our only compensation is the fee our clients pay us. We receive no commissions, no referral payments and no revenue from product manufacturers, so there is no incentive to recommend anything but what fits the plan.
What is the minimum relationship size?
We work with a select group of individuals and families, and every engagement begins with a conversation about fit. The best way to find out whether we are right for each other is a first consultation, which is without cost or obligation.
What does the first meeting involve?
A deep audit conversation: assets, liabilities, entities, risks and intentions. We listen before we model. There is no cost or obligation, and nothing is signed until you have seen a written plan.
How is my portfolio built?
Evidence, not forecasts. Portfolios are globally diversified, tax-aware and aligned to the written plan, with exposure to public markets and, where a plan calls for them, real assets such as property, infrastructure and industrial and logistics holdings.
How often will I hear from you?
You receive quarterly reporting that measures progress against the plan, not the market, and we recalibrate as your life changes. Outside of the quarterly rhythm, a partner is directly reachable whenever you need one.
Do you work with my existing advisers?
Yes. We sit at the same table as your attorney, accountant and other advisers, and translate between them. Coordination with your existing counsel is part of every engagement.
Who holds my assets?
Client assets are held at an independent custodian, not on our own balance sheet. We direct the strategy; the custodian safeguards the assets and provides independent statements you can reconcile against our reporting.
What if I have a complaint?
We want to know when something has gone wrong. Our complaints procedure explains how to raise a concern, how quickly we acknowledge it and your right to refer a complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service.
